AVI MetaEdit supports embedding, validating, and exporting metadata in AVI files. reVTMD is an XML schema that was developed at the same time as AVI MetaEdit to document pertinent metadata associated with the reformatting of legacy video. AVI MetaEdit was developed with support from the National Archives and Records Administration and FADGI, and in collaboration with Jerome Martinez of MediaArea.
Interstitial detects and reports on audio that is lost during the audio digitization process due to system errors that would otherwise go undetected. Interstitial is one of two AVP tools focused on the performance testing of systems used in digitization preservation workflows and resulted from our work with the Library of Congress and FADGI.
The Archival Management System (AMS) is a multi-functional tool for managing the digitization workflow. AMS is useful for collecting, scheduling, and tracking items for digitization across multiple departments or organizations. Work on AMS 2.0 will begin in the Winter of 2017.
