Kara leads our services team, designing and deploying the approaches that we use to help our clients answer key questions and design innovative solutions for their data and digital asset management challenges. She has extensive expertise implementing, configuring, scaling, and optimizing holistic enterprise digital asset management environments. Her work focuses on usability and sustainability, placing equal emphasis on the human and technical aspects of a solution.
Kara has served on numerous professional committees, and frequently speaks at conferences and workshops, nationally and internationally. She was the co-founder and co-organizer of the Association of Moving Image Archivists/Digital Library Federation Hack Day. From 2011-2015, Kara was Adjunct Professor at New York University, where she taught Digital Preservation and Digital Literacy for the Moving Image Archiving and Preservation Program, from which she also holds an MA.
Kara lives in Gainesville, Florida with her husband, son, and fat cat. When she is not helping clients or hanging out with her family, you will probably find her at the gym working on her next deadlift PR.
